Too many people don’t believe they can do incredible, hard things.
They don’t believe they deserve their dream life, and they let worries about security and money keep them small.
Which is why when I stumbled upon the incredible Laura Gassner Otting on Clubhouse, I knew I HAD to interview her, sharing her decades of experience and wisdom with you, my Marble-Making tribe.
Because Laura helps people discover their consonance—how they align what they do with who they are to achieve their limitless potential. She shows people their greatness, inspiring them to push past the doubt and indecision that keeps resigning their ideas to limbo-land, and become the best versions of themselves.
Laura’s entrepreneurial edge has been well-honed over a 25-year career that started as a Presidential Appointee in Bill Clinton’s White House, where she helped shape AmeriCorps.
She left a leadership role at a nationally respected nonprofit leadership firm to expand a tech startup, and then founded and ran a mission-driven executive search firm which partnered with the full gamut of mission-driven nonprofit executives, from start-up dreamers to scaling social entrepreneurs to global philanthropists.
In 2015, she sold that firm to the team that helped her build it, both because she was hungry for the next chapter and because she held an audacious dream of electing our nation’s first female president.
Laura is the author of the Washington Post bestseller Limitless: How to Ignore Everybody, Carve your Own Path, and Live Your Best Life, as well as Mission Driven: Moving from Profit to Purpose and the Kaplan reference book, Change Your Career: Transitioning to the Nonprofit Sector.

Aaaaand during our 24-minute interview we talked about, well, her story—which I absolutely love (if you can’t tell).
